Derp, sorry, I check the forum from my phone too often and it doesn't show visitor messages I have the Aura Spectrum, which adds a built-in DI, and compression/EQ for the dry piezo signal (which never gets used), a tuner (sucks), feedback destroyer and a bunch more sounds. Honestly, the Aura 16 does just as good of a job as long as you don't need a DI or EQ, etc. Fishman Aura 16 Using Electric Guitar With Piezo - YouTube

    Wow.

I'm actually going to be up in March and April for bachelor party/wedding silliness...

Well, tried the Zakk Wylde Overdrive set with no gain and output down super low, and I can actually get a clean-ish tone with my amp's gain set to a fairly chuggable level.

Hmm...interesting. I'll have to try it with my MXR Zakk Wylde to see if it gets clean enough.

Ah, cool, I get it. Since I'm looking to get less gain, I'll go with a volume pedal or something Neat idea, though, which I'll keep in mind.

Hey, I recall you (I think it was you?) posting a while back on one of the forums about "unboosting" with a pedal to reduce gain/volume and then clicking it off for the louder/lead parts. I'm thinking of doing something similar with my rig, with something out front to lower my gain and clean up my tone a bit (like rolling back a volume knob/pedal, but footswitchable) and was considering just building a pedal with a volume pot and a switch, but figured I'd check and see what you were using for that function. I can't find the thread, what was it?
