Very clever idea! Remember that guitars are designed for equal temperament though, so I'm not sure that each fret will necessarily match with a logarithmic-interval sine wave... if you adjust your intonation correctly on a guitar, you'll see some notes seemingly out of whack as you go up and down the neck if you check with a good tuner, fret-by-fret. So take it with a grain of salt :-D I think we know which frets are suspect and it won't be subtle, though. Good luck buddy

Well, all I can say is if a couple of frets are off a little bit, I'd love to see some measurements and data on how far it actually affects intonation. You'll be the first . What are your acceptance criteria for the guitar without returning it?
