Agreed, that was my impression. I love the sound in this RG. It's a no-holds-barred metal and rock guitar.

Yeah I think I'm in that ballpark myself, probably more like 0.25" but it's pretty close. This thing has a pretty sharp attack - if I have an amp tone dialed in with a lot of presence, I get a lot of "CLANG" at the front of each note...

I've actually got it fairly close to the strings - just far enough away so that I don't get wolf tones/Stratitis/excess magnet pull at the higher frets. Do you have success at putting the pickup fairly close? Like closer than I can put my Crunchlab.

yo! Nothing yet - I've emailed those fine folks about a release date, but they're keeping it under tight wraps. Sucks because i would KILL for a 7 string headless....
