no, i totally hate them, but they are essential, which is kinda another reason why i hate them.

This guy is kind of like a Steve Vai/Paul Gilbert kind of take on drums (i.e. versatile, odd, but fun). Sandovals take on drums (within Nile anyway) is a lot like Muhammed Suicmez, in that theres a lot happening but its just relentless and not a lot of variety.

It's the old view of playing fast does not necessarily mean playing the best.

Sandoval, George Kolias (Nile drummer), Origin's drummer (dont remember his name but fuck is he awesome) could play this kids solo, BUT this guy would lose his arms trying to play "vengenance is mine" outro or "opening of the gate" drum solo or from Origin "Finite". Nuff said.

Not bad for a non metal guy but i've heard better, a lot better. And as for originality, more like randomness, thats not how you play drums. Doodling around jazz style after a while...

Oh and lets not forget Krisiuns drummer playing Ageless Venomous. holy crap i though it was a drum machine at first, live he plays it even faster!
