What do you think of the Dean Razorback V bass.

I have been thinking, and some of you MAY remember a thread from a few months back, about me getting a bass pack. Well I decide that I should just get something Worth it that was better then a bass pack and a better Combo, like a Rumble 75 or something. Anyways, I have GASing for this thing in the Black and green, A friend of mine has the Regular Razorback, it it is decent, But the Dean site says the V was mahogany and my friends is basswood.

Anyways, what do you guys think?

    Ugly and uncomfortable

Seriously, though, I doubt it'd balance very well, and I'm not sure how great it would sound. Could be ok, but... I'd base it (no pun intended) more on going out and playing a bunch of stuff in your price range, and picking what feels and sounds best. Different basses have very different sounds, despite what you might think at first, and the feel completely changes your technique. My old bassist had a BC Rich Beast 4-string that sounded really decent considering the price, but felt terrible, was incredibly neck heavy, and put the bridge/neck way too far to the left for my comfort. I hugely prefer my Jazz Bass, even over other basses that I like (like the Ibanez stuff, which is decent, and I don't mind the feel or the sound, and can play them if one is loaned to me) but don't fully love enough to own one.

What's your budget? I can guarantee I can find you a better bass and amp than that monstrosity in the range you're looking for.

That pickup seems very close to the bridge.

Never heard a good thing about them honestly. I agree you need to play a variety of basses in your price range to see what's really your best bet.

I think V shape basses are a bit shit..... but hey, that's just me. Plus any bass guitar with Dimes name whored all over it instantly pisses me off. I mean come on, who are they fooling?
Your guitar playing should be like a pussy....... tight.

V's are neck heavy anyway. Add a bass length scale to the mix and I'd imagine it'd be horrible.
