You'd think all those lonely nights thinking of Drew's sister would make my left hand better at this, but you'd be wrong.
I've been practicing some basic stuff, cross-stick 4/4 shit using my right hand for the hats and my left for the snare. If I do anything other than that, I actually play it cleaner if I ignore my left hand entirely and just hit everything with my right.
That's clearly not the right way to be practicing this. My left arm just has no power/coordination when I go to hit anything with it. Are there some drills that work better for building this up? I've been doing the usual leftleftleftright rightleftleftleft nonsense like crazy, but it's still just really weak.
