I don't think i've ever heard a bad thing about any American or European Spectors from any era. But i don't hang around bass players much.

I'm guessing/hoping Josh/Crooks/Jim will pop in. I could always research on talkbass, but I hate using the search function on there and forgot my password.

Fuck if I know. I like the ones with the arched backs.
Too much focus leads to tunnel vision
Too much faith leads to religion
Too much knowledge leads to confusion
Too many guitar lessons lead to jazz-fusion

The kramers are hit and miss. The originals are awesome but pricey. The Euros (Chech) are pretty consistent and pretty great. I'd take a USA over all of them but the Euros are pretty close and 1/4 of the price.

So sorry man, but I think Spectors are just as ugly as fuck and I've never played one. I figured I could afford one brand to just completely ignore and Spector was it. Sorry!

But I agree with Matt, the Czech ones seem to be very highly regarded and are a lot less than the USA originals.
