    NBD - BTB675

Just took delivery of this today. Haven't had a chance to give it a try yet. Literally openend it, plugged it in to check it's working, fired off some shots, then had to get back to building a site for an art festival. Boo!

I'll give it a try tonight when I've finished work. I'm expecting it to sound a million times better than my GSR206 does. I asked about these Bartolinis on basschat.co.uk, and a bunch of the dudes there have told me that the pickups that come with this are actually very good for stock pickups, and the preamp's also very useful.

    Bass volutes are awesomely huge:

I think Ibanez BTB's are one of the best bass guitar designs. Congrats man. Wish I still had mine, but I hated that 6th string and the accompanying neck width.

The BTB has to be one of the sexiest body shapes ever. Good score dude, I was in a band for a brief while with a bassist who had this model, it sounded awesome!

    edit: dammit!
edit2: well, not quite ninja'd, I was 8 minutes after, but left the tab open for ages before hitting 'post'

Yeah, it's a sexy shape, for sure. It's one of the things I liked most about it.

This was a bargain. It's effectively brand new. The seller had bought two but couldn't afford to keep both. He had this listed for 550, then dropped it by 100, so I jumped on it. Just a shame it's not a six string, but I never really make use of the sixth string, so I guess I won't miss it too much.

Looks nice! Yeah, this should be a pretty substantial upgrade.
