    need some help

Does anyone have some good open string muting techniques for bass? Also any good videos or sites to help me getting more out of my practices would be greatly appreciated.
I cannot remember one day I didn't kill
Their weakening faces haunt me forever, still
Piercing through the flesh, tearing the wounds open more
Cutting them down, one by one
Consequences are for those who do not reign supreme
Killing for life I scream, "Covering fire!"

This is the order of info that I've followed...I did start on fretless so that's why I sought out Gary Willis and such. His picking is a lot of work to emulate, but he just flawlessly burns over anything. Wizard status.

Adam Nitti is like the Frank Gambale of bass, to me... I feel this technique is just good no matter if you are playing; fusion, or extreme metal, or whatever.

Covers pivoting and movable thumb techniques.
before you ask...the glove is because he has Focal Dystonia.
