So, I have a bit of a question that I apologize for in advance because I'm sure at some point it's been discussed here - But on that note, I cannot find it.
Essentially, I a slow as fuck with a mouse. Point and click takes me longer than it should, and I do have some drumming ability.
I'm hoping somewhere, somehow, somebody can help me get in the right direction.
Really, what I want to do, is use a USB electronic drum kit, or midi-midi interface, and record the basic beat, then go back into my DAW and fine tune it, tweak it, enhance it, so to speak.
Can anybody help me out here?
I was thinking of picking up an Alesis DM6 but if it's not going to help me with what I want to do, I really have no other desire to own drums.
I should add that essentially I want to use the E-Drums to make a basic beat in say, FL Studio, and then go into the piano roll after and tweak it.
as long as the usb output will send midi into your daw and you can set up a kit on the dm6 it that is mapped like your drum sample library, you should be able to do it. i have an old yamaha somethingorother electronic kit and use it the same way, purely to get the midi to the computer.
