For the last 10+ years, every recording and borrowing my sister's Yamaha PSR630 for whatever keyboard duties I needed. As a result, that workhorse has been used for live performances with my first ever band (where I wanted to be Geddy Lee), and has been in every single recording I've ever been involved in (yes that includes 4ARM). But now's the time I felt that I don't need to borrow anymore. Enter this:
Both my sister and I are big Yamaha Motif fans, but never muster enough funds to afford a real Motif. However the new MX basically has all the Motif sounds on a cheaper tag, the MX61 was too good to resist. Plus this came free with Cubase 6, so this in conjunction with my Korg MicroKorg and Roland PK5 bass pedals will ensure fun times ahead.
And yes, my sister is welcome to borrow this at anytime.
Nice. I'm always happy to add another keyboard to my collection, too.
