Ok so unexpectedly, but thankfully, I've been asked to rejoin my psychedelic/prog band Vitruvian Man playing bass. So I've been catching up on my low end chops. I've been wanting a fretless for a while and I've actually got a song for my instrumental guitar project that necessitates it. So another "stupidly-criminal-deal-on-discontinued-products-from-the-usual-music-shop-I-frequently-haunt" later, and this happened:
Ibanez Soundgrear SR300F. It's pretty much the same model/tier as my current main bass (sans frets and low B) so aside from the obvious change of technique and the ridiculously tiny neck width and radius, it feels right at home.
Inb4 time to go all Jaco/Steve DiGiorgio on this beast.
Nice, and congrats Fretless is a lot of fun
