So Vitruvian Man (the prog band I play bass on), are writing a follow up to our first album, and usually once I prepare for an album I grab a few new things or modify current gear. Since various tunings are now going to be options, I needed a spare or backup to my current bass.
I saw this at the pawn shop I frequently haunt at a decent price, so I grabbed it right away.
Ibanez SR885. (MIJ 99)
Both the instrument and the case has been around the block, and a few dings here and there, but the sound is there, so I don't mind dings. Plus the back has the same marks that's usually made from my keys I keep in my side pocket. It stll needs a refurbishing though, so I'll have to do that stat. And since all my basses are gonna get pickup swaps, I might replace the stocks on these with Seymour Duncan SJBs (either dual 1s or 1 neck and 2 bridge).
