So remember this?
NBD: Warwick Corvette $$
I've played it only a handful of times since I bought it 3 years ago, and figured I'd slap some new strings on it tonight and give it a setup. Problem is, the bridge itself is wider than the (CNC, I assume?) route in the body. Check this:
Am I missing something obvious, or is either my bridge (or the body of my bass) machined incorrectly? I bought this brand new from Matt's, and while it's not a top end model it was around a grand and I'm not entirely pleased about it. Not a difficult fix with a file and some patience, but I don't really want to file the body on my still-basically-brand-new bass unless I have to. (I'll probably file down the bridge first, actually.)
It's not a matter of the position in the route - the bridge is a good 2-3mm wider than the route in the body.
Shim the neck or do a Jeff and return it?
