Snagged this last week as a last ditched effort to bond with 5 strings again. Also missed having a Spector in the stable (should have never sold my Euro, but too late now), so it fit that bill too. I've been wanting a bass to play with a low B so before I restrung one of my 4's as BEAD I decided to try a 5 again.
Spector Rebop 5 DLX w/Zebrawood top, and the previous owner upgraded the stock EMG HZs to an active EMG P and J. This thing is growl city with the stock preamp, and a lot of fun to play. I keep looking for reasons to go down to the B when practicing with my cover band last week... it was hilarious. It is also impossible to photograph properly. The top is actually a dark stain so you can see the zebra wood figuring, but it is impossible to capture.
Even if I end up selling this because I don't get along with a 5 string, I'm keeping a Spector in the stable going forward.
