    haha interesting.. so the "EWI" is the sax synth, and the "EVI" is the trumpet synth?

    I really want an EWI.. cause I love saxophone but Im always concerned with my cheap ass one that it leaks/etc.. esp a normal C# always sounds off to me (but apparently all altos do)

    It takes skill to play one of those and have it not sound like cheese. I saw Leonard Cohen a couple of weeks ago, and his horn player used one to play some string parts and the synthy solo in "First We Take Manhattan"... it was awesome.

    That was awesome. Really cool that he's into jazz as well as his bro. I like that sound of that too, really nice sound.
