D. MOSH will become famous soon enough
Default A little Axe-fx Wankery

Sup?

I posted this on another board or two, but I figured what the hell, I'd put it up here too I guess since I haven't really posted anything as I have really just been reading allot of the older threads, anyway,,I was Dicking around with the VHT model in my Axe-fx to see what I'd come up with and did this clip from my tune "All The Kings Men"

I was just having fun making the patch, so there's no real mixing, the drums are just a stock BS pattern from DKFH,,,the layout in the Axe goes,,, Ts808, VHT model, Peq, German cab(ENGL of some sort) (no mic sim)... S/pdif, direct into Cubase, quad tracked 100/80-80/100,,HP@80,, LP@10K in the group channel. I gave it a little bump at 5K and a little comp added.

Playing is kinda sloppy and the parts are not as tight as they should be as I haven't been playing like I should lately,(especially now I have the Axe,,Tweak ,tweak, tweak ) and my wrists hurt and hands have been swelling lately due to my day job(Drywall Finisher ) so I can hear a little combing cause I'm not spot on,,But I think I'm kinda diggin this model. I need to try some brighter cabs to try to bring it out a little more without any EQ.
I'm still not 100% in love with the patch just yet, but I'm having fun tweaking

Also,,,,,,,I did this one last Monday with the "Energyball" model (Engl Powerball)

SoundClick artist: MOSHWITZ - page with MP3 music downloads

Same kind of shit,, no real mixing, and I just threw a couple of stock patterns together in DKFH for the drums. There is no post on this one,, 100% direct in,,, then rendered to MP3.(like it don't show)

I'm diggin that patch too, but It still needs a little something also. I'm really hoping to see a Savage 120 model appear in the future.

Damn I love this fuckin thing:

a little icepicky. also, you need to sit there and retrack until they are tight or the little runs you do sound like nothing.

Nice dude. I like the "looseness". Gives the notes some space.

really?,,,which one is Icepicky? I only added the little bit to 5k on the VHT cause it was said to be to dark(probably the german cab)

as far as the tightness goes, like I said ,,,,at the moment, my hands are swollen like little fat sausages and hurt like a motherfucker due to some shit at work, and I've been slackin lately. When I'm at normal and my usual self those rifs and runs are pretty basic,,besides,,these are tone experiments anyway,, I see you(and a few others here) have an Axe also,,got any cool patches you wouldn't mind sharing?

I like the VHT one, and I like those small runs and cool riffage. I don't find it to be Ice picky, but it hits me a bit
