So, i'm running a plug in on my audio tracks, currently 2 background layer guitars panned hard left and right, 2 main rhythm tracks panned at about 75% and 65% one left one right, and 1 lead track straight down the center.
Its eating up cpu and i was wanting to use a fx channel. Problem is, when i send the tracks to the fx channel to get the plug in, it has its own panning. It just takes the signal and lumps them all in together. So essentially i would have to make 5 separate fx tracks panned to the right spots. Obviously this doesnt make sense. Is there anyway around this?
I'm running nuendo 4.
If you do it post-fade rather than prefade, it might take into account the existing panning laws. Set the auxiliary/fx channel as stereo if you haven't already and give it a shot. Not guaranteeing it'll work, but its worth a shot.
