I've been trying to research into what I need to get some reamping done with not much success, the main thing that's confusing me is how to set it all up when I get it, so perhaps those of you who who are more knowledgeable on the subject could school me on what goes where and suggest anything that I may need.
So far my understanding is that I need to send the DI signal from Logic through my audio interface (in this case my PodXT live) via usb into a reamp box (planning on grabbing this: Radial Pro-RMP ) and then into the front of the amp.
Then I'll need to hook up a 57 and send that signal back into the computer, now I cant send it back to my Pod as I imagine that'll cause a feedback loop, so what do I need here? Do I need an external mixer?
Of course if you can suggest any other way that I might go about doing this I'm all ears just so long as it doesn't take up too much space as I'm rather cramped in my little studio as it is.
What are you using for a mic preamp? We used a PreSonus Firepod That is how we got the direct signal in. We ran back out it to a Radial Pro RMP, to the mic'ed amp, and back in.
You'll want some sort of modeler or the like to create a guide track (which you also record) to ensure you are playing stuff correctly. You just drop it on final mix down.
