Looking for an interface to record guitar with (micing up cab).
I've been looking on thomann and i'm finding tons of those things.
I'll be trying out the other guitarists interface to see how that one works, although he said that it crashed sonar a lot when it comes to vst's (clueless about this tbh).
also, is it better to go for a USB unit or a firewire one?
Basicly the needs are:
1 channel mic/line
Will be used with reaper and/or audacity.
My laptop isn't really a strong one, it'll be used to record with in rehearsal room & then put the tracks on my desktop for the actual mixing (dunno if some units use a lot of memory, cpu power)
Line 6 = GTFO
The amount of memory/cpu power required, and the vst's crashing sonar have nothing to do with the interface. The interface is just a sound card. Look at the M-Audio or Presonus stuff, they're both great, and there's other great ones out there too that I can't think of off the top of my head.
