Default Testing a new Snare in Superior (Heavy Riffs)

Stitch was diggin' this so it was pretty much the go-ahead for me to post it on here and get some opinions! I've been warned of some minor clipping (lower mids I think)

But let me know what you think regardless! Thanks

Snare's a bit dead sounding to me, and the whole heavy section is a bit overcompressed and muffled sounding, and possibly some weird phase issue. The intro sounded great, and the heavy part should have been a step up in power, but instead felt like a step back to me

Cool riffs, though.

Yeah I think i'll try to add a bit more of the room mic and take it down a little.

Enough mids in the heavy guitars would you say?

Edit: I have no idea what's going on but when I play the link in a seperate tab, about half way through I get these sort of 'hiccups' down centre and in the right. It sounds like some sort of filtered blip.
