I have an old version of cubase (se3) that doesn't work on win 7, so it's basically useless to me as i no longer have an xp machine.
And i don't need anything special.
cubase 6 elements is 99 bucks and that sounds like a decent deal.
I was never 'good' at this software either, so learning something new is a non-issue as i'll be starting over basically anyway.
Anyone else have any other suggestions on software in this price range?
win 7 64 bit compatible is a must.
I have an m-audio usb interface as well if that matters.
I've been a Cakewalk user since Dos days. Now that Roland owns Cakewalk it's production software has become main stream focused. I think you can download a 30 day trial. They offer different levels of the program. I used an "evaluation" copy and liked it so much, bought it. I have Pro-Tools too and Sonar is much easier to work with.
