Alright, so, I've added a bunch of new gear to the collection over the last while as you've all seen, so here's some rough-ish demos of the sounds I've been making with it lately.
First up is a track showing off the Warmoth Tele through the POD, as well as the piezos through the Fishman Aura Spectrum, in a mix (the song is something I've posted before). Bass is through the POD X3, not much EQ on the electric parts, a bunch of EQ and compression on the acoustic parts (to make them sit in the mix).
Next up is some random riffs I threw together, recorded using my old 6-string Squier Strat tuned to drop-B, everything here is HD500 (bass included). Lots of EQ/compression on the bass in post, partly to make up for the old as hell strings on it, mostly because I'm still not 100% sold on using the HD500 for bass. Only HPF/LPF on guitars.
I'm not a big fan of the drums, but the guitar tones sound really good, and the bass tone made me think of TOOL... which is a good thing, because Justin Chancellor has awesome tone.
Also, I really liked the solo part in the second clip. I'd like to hear that again in the context of an actual song.
