I just got hold of Slate Digital's Virtual Console Collection plugin, and even after a short time using it I can safely say I'll be using this on pretty much every project I do, Straight away it's very impressive how easy it is to achieve a very punchy midrange without sacrificing top end air. I'm really enjoying the API model since the low end response on that is glorious, but the others are cool too so I look forward to checking those out in depth.
I thought it'd make a good opportunity to try out some natural drum tones from Toontrack's NY Vol.2 and Music City SDXs.
