So, after leaving my last band I took a long break from heavy music and focused on my acoustic stuff first, and starting a rock band next. Both of those are still in progress, the band needs a bassist, jam space, PA, and I need a cab, the mellow album is a very gradual process, though I may be doing a track or two at a local studio with a friend in the coming months.
Lately, however, I've been writing the odd heavy riff demo and listening back to some of my older demos, and finding a common thread and an interest to continue and complete them. Here's some of the demos I'm thinking of expanding on and compiling. Let me know what you think of them (musically, the mixes and recording quality are all over the place, and all are incomplete songs).
I'm thinking I might even work with a couple of drummer friends on the final versions of these to replace the programmed drums, and everything will be re-tracked with my current gear. Probably add vocals to most/all of these too. If enough local interest is shown I might even put a band together for a few shows around the area, but that's a big "if".
Do it man
Listening to the first track now, nice intro, cool first riff, some great melodies
