Hi guys. I'm working on a song from one of my bands, actually, the only thing I contributed to this was the solo, writing wise. They wrote this right before I "joined" them. But I actually have recorded and programmed everything heard here, and I'm looking for some feedback mix-wise. This is my basically first song with vocals, so I'm sorta stressing out about that. Also, The guitar tone is about where I like it actually, we aren't a very djenty band, so it might not totally be in place with a lot of the stuff here, but I'm sure you guys can point some stuff out and help me along, I'm certainly open to all suggestions.
Well, this got kinda long-winded , either way, here it is: SoundClick artist: Frank William Dremel - page with MP3 music downloads
(note, I'm not looking for charts or anything here, don't worry )
My only gripe honestly is the snare. It's a little weak sounding. That goes for drums in general really, what's the program you're using there? Sounds dry/plastic.
Vocals - Compression is your friend. Smash the shit out of those fuckers, and get them on a send to a room-verb. Maybe a spot of delay in places.
