Here's a short clip testing my DM6 kit. I still have not got the kick pad, I have the hi hat pedal triggered as the bass drum...it's not as responsive as it should be, so it throws me off a little. I did a few clips to work on latency and also the EQ. I think it's getting there, EQ isn't perfect. I am using some of Nolly's settings, but they're not exact and I am using a hybrid kit that is metal foundry(Crash/hats)/avatar(snare/bass/toms)/nashville(ride/china). It's starting to sound quite a bit better than it did and i've learned a LOT about MIDI.
one of the biggest give aways of fake drums is having the cymbals/ride etc in only one speaker. it sounds wrong because in a real drumkit you'd never hear a cymbal in a room in only one ear. fix up the panning to get a better sound.
