I was hoping I wouldn't like this tuning, because now I have to get more guitars for live use and learn to solo in a completely different tuning again. (I now currently have songs in C Standard, Open B, Drop A#, and Bsus4). Anyway this song started as my first fiddling with the tuning, and soon became a monster. There is a drum loop throughout the entire song, my drummer wrote originally as the drum line. We had been wanting to use a loop somewhere but could never quite figure out where. I wanted more of a groove to the song, and then it hit me.....that is the loop we've been looking for.
Guitars are my LTD Viper, TSE X50 VST(5150 clone), Redwirez Marshall impulses, Bass is through a Stillwell compressor and TSE BOD (Sans Amp), and drums are SD, a hybrid between the Avatar kit, Nashville kit, Metal Foundry, and Metal Machine.
Still a little rough around the edges, but showing quite a bit of potential.
I like it Exactly as you said, rough around the edges, but showing potential.
