I beat Drew and Chris, does this count for anything?
You know I don't generally pimp my projects, but I'm pretty proud of this one and my band is gaining a nice head of local steam, so I'd love to share a bit with you guys and perhaps pick up a few fans and likes on our Facebook and ReverbNation pages. A lot of you are in and around successful bands so it can't hurt to associate.
I produced and engineered the demo, and went into a local studio to perform the mixes "outside the box." The studio owner was basically my assistant engineer, loading all of the audio into his system and then helping me get the sounds I was after by handling the routing and such. I learned a lot from the process and it was great to have access to loads of awesome outboard gear and a great Audient console for the mix. Everything was done on 24 tracks and all analog gear. The demo was then mastered with some basic Waves plugs.
My sonic goal was capturing the energy of our live performances. I went for a less polished and a more raw and articulate sound. Let me know how I did!
Here's three of the five tracks. I can't post the awesome Phil Collins cover we performed as I've not paid for the licensing required to stream that song.
And again, a thousand "thank yous" for anyone that is willing to hit us up on FaceBook and ReverbNation. If you want to play a gig in Philly, let me know and we'll set something up!
Now back to the writing desk.
