Default Clean prog post rock song

Here's a little piece my brother and I recorded on Thursday night. Here's the link
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1547445/Thu...t%20Lights.mp3
We just started recording and writing and got it all finished in a few hours. We used a telecaster, Les Paul and a fretless bass for all the guitar and bass parts with everything being DI'd and sounds done with plugins. We also used some ebow and a midi keyboard. We tried to get a lot of the guitar parts to fill out the sound so there's loads of guitar parts that sound a bit like keys on it. The shaker track is real! We were thinking of maybe doing some real drum parts for it too but I'm not sure if it needs it.
Give it a listen and let me know what you think!

So my drummer said he'd like to lay down some drum tracks to accompany this, which should improve it somewhat. I'll post it here when it's done. Any thoughts on the track?

I like it. Nice and mellow. Nice use of effects. I'm hearing some popping noises here and there and I'm not sure if it's on your end or mine. Kind of an abrupt ending I thought. Overall I dig it and I think some laid back drums will be cool. Nice work!

Without going overboard, I think some drums could easily fit. But more importantly, vocals could give the listener something more to latch onto -- though the track does work without any. The effects and ambience work really well, too.

I dig it
