Like the title says, I could use some help. I'm not completely in love with the bass tone I'm getting here, but it's definitely the best I've gotten to date.
Basically, I'm looking for some help on how I may be able to get it to "gel" a bit better with the mix; it's okay at the moment, but I want it to be even better than that. Any tips?
Here's a clip. I start with drums, bass, and guitars, then I drop out the guitars, and finally drop out the drums so you can hear how it interacts with everything.
Also, I attached a screenshot of my Logic file. I have two bass tracks going - the two plugins on the far left are the first bass track, and the bass amp plugin on the middle-right is what's on the other. The remaining plugins are all in a bass bus so it's being applied to both tracks.
Thanks in advance, guys!
I put a small cut in the bass around 150hz; the lowest frequencies for the guitars. This let the "rumble" of the bass as well as the rest of the bass' information get through, so it seems to fit a lot better at the moment.
Here's the new track:
You guys are monumentally better at this than I am though, so I'm still looking for advice!
