I'm trying to convert/move some of my old recordings over to Reaper 64 from the 32-bit version, and having some trouble moving a MIDI track.
(I realize that I can just open the old track in x64, but I'm copying everything over track by track as a means of tossing out the junk and applying it cleanly to a new track template.)
I've glued everything and rendered everything to a stem, and every track but my MIDI (drums) lines up perfectly. However, when I copy the MIDI drum track from the 32-bit version and paste it into 64, I'm getting some extra time at the beginning/end and I'm not sure why.
Since a picture says a thousand words, here's what's happening. I have a MIDI track of drums in the 32-bit version. That track is bounced down and the actual hits start at 1:08.
They end at 5:05.
When I paste them into the 64-bit version, the drums start at 1:20
And end at 5:55.
Why is this? Any other track that I bounce down and copy over lines up correctly - it's just this MIDI track that's skewing the time. If I chop it so that the first drum hit comes in at 0:00, the x64 track ends at 4:36, and the 32-bit track (the correct one) ends at 3:56. So there's 40 seconds of (something) being added when I move it from one to the other.
D'oh.. I'm an idiot. Track tempos weren't the same.
I'll just leave this here in case it helps anyone else... (*whistle*)
