How do you get it so the snare triggers the snare in EZ-D/Superior, the kick triggers the kick, etc?
The new IT/helpdesk guy has a Yamaha DTX kit, and we've given him a Mac to use, so he's been playing with his kit and a Cakewalk USBtoMIDI device I lent him. He's having issues with mapping the pads correctly. Luckily, the latency is really small into GB, so that's good.
He wants to get the full version of EZ-D if he can get it to work. I'm thinking there's some tweaking he's got to do within the DTX module to send the various CC(?) messages to the computer, but this is new ground for me.
With my Roland head, it was 100% plug and play. I believe the MIDI messages for each trigger are pretty standardized (eg: C2 = kick). I'm not sure if the Yamaha is the same way, but I'm willing to bet it'll just work out of the box.
