So I've recorded stuff for a while using Cubase but have never gone past the basic mixing stage. Now I'm looking to take things up a notch with some simple mastering. My problem is that I can't even create a mastering track!
I've tried to google this and of course reading the manual. I know that the master control is to the far right on the mixer bar with buttons to turn the EQ and effects on/off but without the actual master track I can't add any effects. Please enlighten me!
Are you possibly confusing some terms? There's the master bus, which is also called the master track. Then there's a master, where you might export your mix to a consolidated wave file for mastering. But there's nothing called a master track that's comparable to an instrument, effects or midi track.
