I run my Axe II usb. when I run reaper it uses my Axe Driver for ASIo.
No problems it works great.
last weekend I wanted to stick a mic in front of my cab and record, so I dug out the m-Audio interface I have , plugged it in but it appears that I can only use one of the other. Reaper does not recognize 2 recording inputs simultaneaously.
am I going to have to plug my Axe out into the M-audio interface to do this?
I think I already know the answer is yes but just looking for any ideas I may have missed.
this is on a Windows 7 machine
On OSX, what you need is called an Aggregate Device. I'm not sure what the Windows iteration of it is, but I'm sure someone will.
It will let you use the Axe USB on one track, and the M-Audio on another.
