I am really stuck in my mixing. I really do not know what to do.
What ever I do it makes the music sounds even more like a carengine with
gravel instead of petrol.
The thing is that I do not have the best of preconditions to get a good mix.
First of the drums sounds like shit, and not in a good way
Thatīs because we did not have the best things to record with, so I thought that I
could replace them with samples instead.
And for the guitars, we use a Kemper with a Ola Englund profile. A triple Rectifier.
But it doesnīt matter how much I turn the nobs or rip of my hair, I can not make it sound good!
Irritating as hell!!
I have a link here to my Soundcloud so that you can hear what I am rambling about.
Do you have any ideas what to do with it? If so, please tell me
If some daredevil out there want to make a try with it you are most welcome to give it a try
Here is a link to dropbox with all wav files, I made a RAR file of it:
Thx a lot boys and gals!
Drums are way too loud, and sound sloppy. Is that both the samples and the recorded drums at the same time? Because if it is, they might not be lined up properly.
Everything's too loud and compressed, which is part of why it's sounding muddy. The tones aren't bad at all, really, it's just way too compressed and loud.
And in the end, your mix will only ever be as good as your source material. If the playing isn't right, and the source sounds aren't right, no amount of mixing will fix it.
