    Slate Virtual Microphone System

It looks like Steven Slate is trying to put out a proper microphone modeling system. I'd like to hear more comparison clips, but I'm interested.

Didn't Sonic Foundry do this using impulses in Sound Forge, like, ten years ago? With their Acoustic Mirror plugin?

    Microphone Modeling?

Here is a response video to it

Slate Digital Introduces the VIRTUAL MICROPHONE SYSTEM

My biggest hope for this was for the ability to have a "reamping" feature but with different pres and mics and it seems like it will have it Wonder how this will play out in the big studios that actually have access to these expensive mics it is replicating. Nothing official on the price point but I've heard $2k for the 2 mics, preamp, and the plugin.

i'll admit, their massive touch-panel console thing is pretty cool.
