I have just re-installed Win7 64bit onto my new SSD and now I am about to install all my recording software and plugins.
My question is about where to have the VST plugin-files stored?
Some software (POD Farm for example) suggests its own path (Line6/VST/) to install the VST file in.
Would it be better to have just ONE general VST folder for 64bit plugins and another one for 32bit plugins as opposed to having several different plugin folders all over the place?
Does it make a difference at all?
I'm not an expert but I would imagine the computer might run faster if there is only very few VST folders as opposed to a whole bunch of them?
Santuzzo, I'm pretty sure I saw an atom the other day that you somehow weren't worrying about. What's up with that?!
Organise and store them however you like. I can't even think of a scenario in which it would matter.
