    Do I have phase issues?

    Listen here please

    https://stormspell.bandcamp.com/trac...y-for-boarding

The singer says there's phase issues so the mix sounds hollow...

I can't hear it, I can't hear if even if I mixdown to mono, and I've listened on 4 different stereo machines

He also says that it only sounds hollow on 2 of his stereo machines, his other platforms sounds good

I don't hear any weird phase-y stuff going on. If you've referenced it in mono + a bunch of other systems and all of the mix elements are still audible then I think you're fine. I'm not sure what he's hearing, this mix isn't "hollow" by any means. I'd pump that kick up slightly (personal preference) but that's about it, everything else sounds good to my ears

Also, I'm not big on hair metal but I really enjoyed this song FYI, good stuff.

No phase issues to my ear. No major issues anyway. Maybe a little between the layered guitars, but i don't think it takes away anything from the song.

I think that this mix sounds great for this type of metal.
