    Elixirs.
Too much focus leads to tunnel vision
Too much faith leads to religion
Too much knowledge leads to confusion
Too many guitar lessons lead to jazz-fusion

My bass player borrowed our drummer's dad's bass earlier this week, a super cool Jag with Elixirs. They sounded new, but were a goddamned year old

I've been having a problem with strings period while recording. I'll get a killer tone going, get a few tracks done then go back later on and feel there's something missing from the tone. It's mostly my fault for leaving my porch door open a crack....I dig the warmth because my A/C hits me directly where I sit to record, but the humidity in that area gets out of hand quick. I'm not getting much more than 4-5 hours of use out of a pack of strings and these NYXL's are adding up quick.
