in all fairness, i'v been hangin with the green fairy since i was 16, i'm 27 now, and i have no police record to speak of and my driving record has 1 ticket from when i was 16, other than that, i'm clean. Not a single accident, hell, i pay $150 every 6 months. I have owned my own house for 3 years, married, live a normal life. Why? Because i'm responsible with it and i know my limits.
Hopefully, if it were to be legalized, it would be a little more "normal" and people wouldnt act how they do now with it. I guess, look at the bootleggers and all the trouble it caused, but now that booze has been legal for a long time, people are a bit more mellow with it. Sure there are assholes who get hammered and are irresponsible with it, but thats going to happen with everything from time to time. Also, they now have saliva drug tests that can tell if you've smoked in the last 24 hours. That would be the perfect answer to the traffic stop issue. I dont think it would be unreasonable to make it illigal to drive high. Just like booze, they would have to follow the rules, for instance, you either have to smell of booze, or be driving irratically for a officer to warrent a sobriety test. Same deal could apply here.
