Actually, no, I'm not. Put tax rates at or near Reagan levels for the rich, sure, but even under pre-Reagan rates we were still running deficits.

The problem with this attitude is that we take it every single time the economy tanks. No one wants to talk about who is responsible or what did it, they just want it go back to being right. I'm about accountability and judicial process. We need to make the penalty so steep that no one will want to irresponsibly wreck the economy again.

Moot point, since we *have* gone broke as a nation, and it won't ever get fixed. Just do what I do: try not to think about it, and don't plan for a retirement that will never happen. Oh, and learn to speak Chinese.
