This is definitely reflective of the type of people I want running the country. When it is your kids out there, then you take a different view of the war.

Biden's kid will likely get his own air conditioned can, and his senior leadership will have to carefully tapdance around him in fear of reprisal. What a fucking joke.

Although, it does not surprise me that the media would get romantic about this. Either way, it's a bit of a kick in the jaw to those of us who have been to Iraq once or twice and busted our fucking asses.

How do you that is what will happen? Senator Jim Webb's son has been serving in a Marine combat unit in Iraq, and is not getting any special treatment. Is it so hard to believe that some leaders do not expect special treatment for their kids? If Biden was getting special treatment, do you think he would even be deploying?

Biden is pretty down to earth. The guy who commuted to Washington every day, via train, strikes me as the kind of guy who is not going to step in to give his son preference over other soldiers.

Politics is the lifeblood of the military. Admiral (name I wont mention on a government computer.) was the king bee of the NCF during my battallion tenure. And his son, Ltjg (name I wont mention on a government computer.)was in my command. I went to parties and would see this guy fraternizing with alot of us, showing up late and drunk, and smoking weed for fucks sake. Nothing ever happened to the guy. He was fucking untouchable because his daddy was an admiral for Pac Fleet.

Now imagine the kind of luxeries the son of the Vice president will enjoy. It's just the nature of things.
