This seemed to be the best forum to put this in... This is a surprisingly interesting story, and considering this was from the 1940's, you have to wonder how much of the similarities between this design and the eventual B-2 Stealth Bomber were coicidental...

I haven't read the article but didn't a bunch of their scientists come over to the US after WWII?

Wernher von Braun, father of the modern space program and rocket technology pioneer. We basically gave him a pass on the war criminal trials, so we could bring him and his team over here and have him work for us. He basically lived under house arrest for years.

i JUST watched a show on this like 2 days ago. they remade one for the show with as authentic period materials as they could use, then shot radar at it to see if it was really "stealth"

Operation Paperclip. We brought over a lot of their scientists and such, I'm not really surprised that this looks so much like the B-2, I've actually seen this before (spending too much time reading through tinfoil-hat wearing nonsense will bring you around to this stuff....), really cool to see good pictures of it though

For the longest time the average guy never knew how far the Germans were ahead of us in many areas. I've read stories and rumor that they were designing "UFO like" craft, rumor and speculation that the so-called "foo fighters" were some German aircraft, etc. If there's any truth to that stuff, it's really interesting.
