It's amazing how something so small in comparison to the size of the earth can have such an impact on it overall. Building dams have also created a similar effect on the earths axis and rotation. Quite fascinating.

In both cases though, the changes are smaller than other more regular changes (shifts in atmospheric mass etc) so they're not really significant.
