    Guitar Center String Club - $20 gets you strings for a year

    Once your card is activated, we'll load it with $5.
    Use it towards a fresh set of strings.
    Limit 1 per customer.

    After the initial activation, we'll refresh the card balance to $5 at the beginning of each month for the next 11 months.

    There is such a thing as good string sets for less than $5 (including tax, of course)?

    I usually buy d'addarios and they are less than $5 and so are most GHS strings

    That would be an awesome deal, but it sucks when your stringing up 7's and 8's and have any custom gauges. (The 8 string sets are some of the stupidest tensioned sets ever)

    I only use D'Addario 10s, so this would be awesome....but I don't have a local store. I'll have to make a trip to my closest one soon though.

    I use Blue Steels. I think they're like $5.19.

    I don't change strings very often, tho.

    Too bad they just won't give you 10-12 packs of strings for $20 up front, since that's what it ends up working out to be.

    Remember that this was designed to make Guitar Center money. They are counting on either:

    1) people not getting their $20s worth

    or

    2) getting people into the store 12 times a year because then they're more likely to buy other things
