Default The Motorcycle Thread

We obviously need a dedicated one.

I'll start it off with some epic win:

And my bike for at least the next 12 hours or so..

I thought we had one of these Why didn't we have one sooner lol.

Anyway, I cannot contribute anything to this thread YET. I shall be taking my motorbike test this summer and hopefully acquiring my first bike.

Squids. No helmet, and watch the dog at about 16 seconds in almost take him out.

I'm considering selling my bike, or trading it in towards a car. My car is going to die any day, I think the transmission is going to shit the bed, and I just don't drive my bike hardly. I'd like to own a bike, but I've come to the realization that I'm just fucking lazy and don't go anywhere or do anything, so having a second mode of transportation is kind of useless Plus the insurance on it is shitty, and I don't have my license yet.

If you don't use it, may as well get rid of it. I've never seen anyone take so long to get their license, and you drive like a fucking asshole anyway so it's probably for the best.

Actually I drive my bike slow. The fastest I've had my bike on an open stretch of highway was 160 km/h (100 miles I think) and I was fucking SCARED. I immediately backed the fuck off

Yeah, with no license and very little riding time, taking your bike 160km/h on the highway is safe, responsible riding. It's a wonder that's not part of every safety course curriculum.

Sell it before you fucking kill yourself. We need you to keep the tots at bay.

I didn't mean I regularly drive like that, it was a straight stretch, and wanted to go fast Most people I know with bikes drive 160 for a joke. I keep it to the speed limit on my bike normally. My car on the other hand is another story, I'll drive 180 no problem. Never had any issues, speed wise anyways, falling asleep at the wheel is another issue altogether

I'm not going to lecture you, but most people you know are morons then. At that speed, one bump, one rock, an animal running across the road, ANYTHING can happen and you have zero "trained" reflexes to deal with them. Even after years of riding you're probably still paste at that point, but a new rider will basically just panic, crash and die whereas an experienced guy MIGHT have a chance.

Sell your bike. And make new friends.
