Well my Mazda Tribute had over 110,000 miles on it and the transmission was starting to go so I decided it was not worth throwing the money into getting it fixed and opted for a new car. And the horrible gas mileage I was getting was killing me every week, as I have a bit of a commute to work so it just made sense.
I had been keeping an eye out for smaller cars and something that would be good on gas and I kept reading about this car. It seems to do better than a lot of the imports in its class and it's cheaper. It's a fairly popular car in Europe and the 2011 model is being sold in the states now. I picked her up on Saturday. Mine is a five speed. Unfortunately the only color they had in a manual was red. It came with Ford's Sync system which is pretty cool to have in such an inexpensive car. So far so good and it’s fun to drive.

Cool. I hear these are great and have seen a few on the road. I'd have gone for the hatch myself... i don't care much for cars with trunks.
