I had a new shape Beetle drive past me the other day, and oddly enough, I really like it. I've never liked a Beetle before. I looked pretty much exactly like that, except more chromey bits on the front grille.

The Turbo really moves, too. Even the 5 cylinder isn't bad.

I have the 2.0T in my Passat, which doesn't suffer for pickup at all. In the smaller/lighter cars in the line (GTI and Beetle), it really moves.

The 5cyl is a stump puller. It's perfect for around town, since it doesn't drag off the line the way the previous 4cyl base engine did.

For some reason, I really like the new New Beetle. They knocked the styling out on it.

New Beetle looks much nicer than the old one.
