I'm lookin' into buying a Scion FR-S. Lookin for opinions NOT THAT THEY MATTER ROFL
Yeah, so I drove my last car until it died ('98 Dodge Caravan Sport, ShagWagon.), and my current car ('01 Oldsmobile Alero) has a noisy transmission, and it's only a matter of time before it's either a new car, or a $1,000(easily)+ Trans Job. I also work full time, and don't pay rent ( living with my parents until i'm done with school), and while I'm in school, my parents will cover car insurance. I know, i know, what a spoiled bitch.
So initially, I really liked the '10+ mustangs, ridiculous looks, awesome base HP, and... Really about nothing else is good(Reliability, MPG), so I moved on. I was obsessed with STI's/WRX's, and AWD wouldve been awesome for the unpredictable Chicago winters. I also REALLY liked G35 coupes, and would still buy one if the right price/condition came up, but that's not the point.
So a friend turned me on to the FR-S, and I shot it down, because I heard scions are recycled toyota parts, which is why its like $75 for a new one. But then I started really liking the features. The HP isn't quite where i want it to be, but ATM i just want a semi- practical whip around car, and once the warranty is voided, I'll throw a turbo or some shit in it(my dad manages a service department, so again, expense taken care of ). I did want something small, decent MPG, slick looks, and the price is definitely right. Also: I can drift my dick off, and scare the shit out of passengers.
A Premature thanks for any (helpful/positive) input!
Subaru BR-Z. Same car. Why you ask? Just because
